ABOUT SAILOR KATE

WAIT… does she go by

Sailor? Or Kate?

In Short: Both!

My full first name is Sailor Kate. Think Mary-Kate of the Olsen twins. I prefer to go by Sailor Kate, and friends call me “Skate.”

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I'm a New York City-based actress and performer who recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pace University’s Honors College with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and minor in Arts and Entertainment Management.

I grew up on the southeastern beaches of Florida and became obsessed with fairies at the age of five, which sparked my lifelong love of finding magic in the mundane. I caught the theatre bug by ten, and by fourteen, I had enrolled as a Drama major at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.

In addition to performing, I’m an award-winning playwright and recently completed my Honors College thesis, "Examining Musical Theatre’s Intersectional Feminism Through Soprano Stylization and an Interdisciplinary Framework.” I’m also extremely proud of my four-leaf (and five-leaf!) clover collection, and I try to carry a little bit of that magic with me in everything I do.
